So it would seem as though I lost my password, my computer crashed, or I was abducted by aliens given the length of time there has been in between the last [first] update. So I finished my last Spring semester as a student at NC State University, huge relief! Mixed in with school work and ministry I also videogrophied [filmed] three weddings and attended a fourth in these past few months. Add in some finals and a couple of days at home and that will quickly catch you up till now.
So I am currently taking summer school at State to be able to graduate in August in hopes of being on campus in the fall. I have to take three classes each session this summer to finish up with school, work a part time job, and find time to work on my support raising.
Well after that life update, let me give you a little perspective. Recently I was looking at
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
When I read this, it clicked. Over these past few months I had been trying to raise my support on my own. Which is exactly why I have been in such poor, comparative spirits about my support raising process. If I try to do this on my own, I WILL FAIL, but if I rely on the freely given, eternal, sovereign GRACE of God I can never loose.
Over these next two months pray with me...
1. That I would believe and preach myself the gospel
2. That I would remain in fervent prayer over support
3. That I would believe that no matter the outcome, God is God, and God is Good!
Also, please be in prayer for our three summer mission projects through our ministry
1. Summer Orlando Project
2. Cross-cultural Project in Malaysia
3. City Project- internships and mission trips done through the Summit Church
Sorry about the length, Ill try to keep updates more frequent from now on.
